FAUX MEISSEN PORCELAIN PUG DOG: Yes, he is an old porcelain hand painted pug with cropped ears, a blue collar and a crossed swords trademark. And the person I bought him from swore he was a Meissen Pug. However, unless they have moved the town of Meissen, Germany to France, Im afraid hes only a "Faux" Meissen Pug. But - what the heck - hes a handsome lad and Ive never seen another like him. Hes a good example of how porcelain factories all over Europe tried to emulate the famous (and expensive) Meissen Porcelains, so hell make an interesting addition to your collection of pugs. Condition: Very good. No chips, cracks or repairs. 1 7/8" tall, 2" long.
