PUG OF LEISURE ( Meissen Pug Dog ): Iím really not sure if this pug is lounging or looking back to see if that darn cat is sneaking up on him. Whatever, I love the fact that we can see our chosen breed in Meissen molds made in the 18th & 19th Centuries. Meissen pugs are made of the finest hard paste porcelain and are the top of the line. The molding is flawless and they are decorated by Meissenís talented porcelain artists. My photos donít nearly do justice to the delicacy and lovely look on this face. Those sporting golden bells on their collars, such as this one, are particularly prized. This pug carries the famous Meissen crossed swords hallmark on its base, along with the model number "78627", the molder mark "27 AFĒ and a red painted "3212" indicating the artist. Condition: Excellent. Size: 3 1/4" long, 1 1/4" high, 1 3/4Ē deep.
