Pug Figurines: PP235

ARENíT I CUTE? ( Victorian Porcelain Pug Dog ): All of you who have pugs, like we do, can fully understand why we have invested our babies with human qualities - and clothes. Our pugs put us in touch with centuries of pug owners - from 17th, 18th & 19th Century royalty, 18th Century satirists, such as Hogarth, Victorian painters and pug fanciers, including Queen Victoria, the humanizing of Vienna Bronze pugs starting in the early 20th Century and thousands of us commoners today who dress our pugs for holidays and attend "pug picnics". This pretty pug girl looks all ready for a Sunday stroll in the park with her big blue bow and a gold ribbon decorating her bonnet. Condition: Excellent. Size: 3 1/2" high, 3 1/2" long.

This is a Book Piece, featured on Page 84 of The Pug Heritage and Art, by Nick Waters.
