GOOD LUCK PUG ( Antique Porcelain Pug Dog Fairing Piece ): This particularly shiny glazed pug, encircled by a horseshoe, was one of several English Fairing pieces which featured pugs – a very popular pet of the day (c. late 1800's or early 1900's). Fairing pieces were inexpensive items made to be given as prizes at Country Fairs, but now have become valued collector pieces. Though they were mainly given at English Fairs, most were made in Germany because they made higher quality ones for a lower price. This one, besides being cute, could also be used as a dish or an ash tray. She has two blue decorations on her collar and the green leaves she is standing upon are highlighted in gold. I took the darker photo to show how the light reflects off the shiny silver horseshoe. I'm sure this pug will bring you Good Luck!

Condition: Excellent. No chips, cracks or repairs.
Size: 3 1/4” high, 2 3/4” wide, 3” deep.
